Welcome to Squid On Fire – a writing work in progress betwixt myself (Chris):

We are global nomads which basically means that for the next few years, we will be moving to a city with our awesome dog, exploring for a few months and then moving to a new part of the country/world. Since we’re not fabulously wealthy, the only way we can do this is because of our incredibly mobile jobs. I am a freelance writer. I specialize in covering travel and human interest stories which is awesome because my work lets me meet all sorts of awesomely interesting people like this guy and this group and this dude who are all ridiculously fascinating.
Jason is stupidly talented at building iPhone apps and spends the majority of his free time composing gothicy electronic music and asking me questions like “Would you date me if I was just a head, no body, and in order to survive I had to attach myself onto your body like a parasite?” We’re starting this blog to keep in touch with friends and family while flitting from place and place and hopefully to make some new contacts. We are both nervous and excited at the same time. Let the adventurin begin!
